Joseph Bostic, Jr. Wins 2021 MCPS Teacher of the Year and a Car
On April 28, 2021, Joseph Bostic, Jr., a math teacher at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School, was named the 2021 Montgomery County Public Schools Teacher of the Year. On June 18, 2021, he claimed one of his prizes: a one-year lease on a brand new car. Read More
Educational Foundation Launches Dine with Dignity Sponsorship Program
The USDA is waiving the collection of school lunch fees for the FY2022 school year. In response, the MCPS Educational Foundation is launching a new campaign that will give donors up to 18 months (July 2021 through December 2022) to fund a school sponsorship by making a recurring gift of a modest amount. School sponsorship can be achieved with a contribution starting as low as $2.80 per month. The Dine with Dignity Sponsorship Program has a goal of signing up a sponsor for each of the 206 MCPS schools. Read More

MCPS "Trifecta" Raises Over $50,000 for Families

"Families Helping Families," the COVID-19 Crisis relief response campaign, surpassed its $50,000 fundraising goal! The campaign's relied on coordinated efforts of the MCPS Educational Foundation (Foundation), the Office of Student and Family Support and Engagement (OFSFSE), and the parent network of the Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations (MCCPTA). No Argument About Dynamic Debate's Generosity

Using a portion of the proceeds from its debate tutoring classes, Dynamic Debate, a student-run business, contributed over $3,000 to two of the Foundation’s campaigns: GIVE BACKpacks and Dine with Dignity. Read More

Young Golf Enthusiasts Drive for School Supplies

Young Golfers Care, a non-profit organization for young golf enthusiasts, donated the proceeds from its fundraising golf clinics to the GIVE BACKpacks campaign. Read More
