Grants
The Foundation Small Grants program funds projects in support of instructional enrichment and/or equitable educational opportunities for Montgomery County Public Schools students. Only MCPS employees are eligible to apply for grant funding.
Funding for our grants comes from a combination of investment earnings and generous contributions from donors. If you are interested in helping to fund a grant, please visit our Donate Online page and select "Grants to Schools" from the dropdown menu when making your donation.
FY2022 Grants
The Foundation is now accepting applications for Small Grants in FY2022. Priority will be given to proposals that address the priorities identified in the MCPS 2.5 Year Plan for Mitigating Learning Disruption and projects proposed in direct response to the COVID-19 and the SARS-CoV-2 delta variant. MCPS employees should visit the grants application portal to apply.
FY2021 Grants
The Foundation did not offer Small Grants in FY2021. Instead of the small grants program, the Foundation, as part of its response to the COVID-19 pandemic, made grants in support of districtwide digital literacy content and student mental health program.
FY2020 Grants
Grants awarded in FY2020 were given an extension to complete their projects. Reports are now due. Please visit the grants application portal to find out more information.
